Dalkia is seeking a skilled and dependable Electrical Chargehand to join our on-site team at Sizewell B Power Station. This is an excellent opportunity to work within one of the UK’s most high-profile and safety-critical industrial environments, where precision, professionalism, and compliance are essential.
Key Responsibilities
As Electrical Chargehand, you will take responsibility for supervising and supporting a team of electrical operatives while remaining actively involved in hands-on work. Your duties will include:
* Managing a team of approximately 17 electrical staff, setting work tasks and overseeing a wide range of electrical activities
* Carrying out risk assessments and ensuring safe systems of work
* Delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) across electrical systems
* Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and site-specific procedures
* Managing and coordinating subcontractors
* Organising labour, materials, tools, and equipment orders
* Maintaining a 50/50 balance between supervision and hands-on electrical work
What You’ll Bring
* 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification
* City & Guilds 2391 Test & Inspection (or equivalent)
* Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practice
* Experience working within both industrial and domestic electrical environments
