We are currently seeking to recruit a committed and reliable Maintenance Person to join our friendly team at Pen Inney House to carry out everyday maintenance, decorating, gardening and repairs. Part-time (pay to be discussed depending on qualification and experience)
Westheath Care Homes (Staffing) Ltd provides care staff to five care homes owned and operated by a private company which are located in Bodmin, Lanivet, Lewannick (Nr Launceston) and the Bude area.
All of which have obtained and maintained a 'Good' CQC rating.
We provide high standards of person-centred care to a wide range of elderly and disabled people from St Austell on the South coast to Bude on the North coast, with a dedicated team of Care assistants and a strong team of experienced managers who have a high number of years working in care.

Objectives of the job
To meet the needs and expectations of our residents, keeping the premises maintained to a high standard of repair, presentation and readiness through-
Carrying out or arranging to be carried out, planned and responsive maintenance and improvement works at the Home as required.
Regularly reviewing the maintenance of the buildings and their grounds. Anticipating and solving problems in a timely manner and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Being pro-active in making recommendations for improving property operations and solving maintenance related problems.
Statutory testing: Fire alarms, emergency lighting, hot and cold-water temperatures including legionella checks.
Periodic external inspections of buildings, grounds, boundary walls and fences and trees. Checking in particular for safety issues, neighbour issues, trespass or encroachment.
Must have experience in general property maintenance, basic carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating.
A good understanding of Health & Safety legislation is essential; however, full training is given in the home.
Duties will include internal maintenance and external work within the grounds, ensuring the home is maintained to a high standard and repairs are carried out swiftly and efficiently
In return, you can expect competitive rates of pay, a minimum number of contracted hours per week and an equivalent to 6 weeks of annual leave per employment year (this will be your weekly contracted hours x 6)
