Job Purpose
We are seeking a versatile and proactive individual to support both the hands-on operations of our vehicle workshop and the administrative tasks that keep the business running smoothly. This hybrid role is ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude who is also organized, detail-oriented, and confident handling office duties.
Key Responsibilities
Workshop Duties
* Assist mechanics and technicians with basic vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs.
* Carry out routine workshop tasks such as tool organization, cleaning, and preparing work areas.
* Conduct vehicle checks (oil, fluids, tyres, etc.) under supervision.
* Support parts ordering, stock control, and inventory management.
* Ensure health & safety standards are followed in the workshop.
Administrative Duties
* Answer phone calls, emails, and customer inquiries in a professional manner.
* Book appointments, schedule jobs, and maintain workshop calendars.
* Keep accurate records of customer jobs, parts used, and workshop activities.
* File and maintain service histories, warranties, and compliance documentation.
* Assist with general office tasks as required.
Skills & Qualifications
* Previous experience in a workshop or mechanical environment (desirable but not essential if willing to learn).
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
* Good IT literacy (MS Office, email, booking systems).
* Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Basic mechanical knowledge or willingness to develop workshop skills.
