Job Summary
We are a family seeking a flexible, fun and dedicated childcare provider to provide high-quality childcare, general household duties and assistance to the family.
We have 2 children who need collecting from their school and driven home where you will supervise and look after them until one of us returns from work.
This role is for 6 + hours a week, 3 on both a Monday and Tuesday. Starting in September.
The ideal candidate will have experience in various childcare settings, perhaps including schools, nurseries or nannying experience. You will have some experience with special needs or be willing to understand adapt to the needs of the children. A non judgemental and therapeutic approach would be beneficial. This role involves working closely with the parents, collecting their children from school and bringing them home and supervising them until the parents return from work. The Caregiver will be responsible for ensuring the safety and development of the children whilst in your care.
Duties
* Provide some personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing and toileting.
* Assist with meal preparation and giving the children snacks.
* Develop and implement engaging activities based on the childrens' individual needs and preferences.
Skills
* Familiarity with or willing to learn about the children's special needs and how to cater for them.
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with family and school staff at handover time.
* Competence in providing patient care that respects the dignity of individuals.
* Capability to perform light housekeeping duties as needed within the caregiving role. The successful candidate will embody a caring attitude, with patience, whilst being committed to developing the wellbeing of those they serve through compassionate and skilled childcare practices.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.21-£13.50 per hour
