About the Role
As a Deputy Home Manager, you’ll be making sure the level of clinical care we offer goes beyond just professional standards and statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements. This means providing specialist nursing support and advice, taking responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager’s absence, and supervising/coaching colleagues to provide a service that’s unparalleled in its empathy for resident issues.
About You
HC‑One is looking for a Deputy Home Manager with a valid NMC Pin, knowledge of National Standards, and the NMC code of practice. Not to mention a background in person‑centred care planning within a care home. You’ll also be a great mentor who can manage time effectively and keep meaningful records, and you’ll communicate with residents and co‑workers in a considerate and kind manner. You value kindness above all, recognising and reporting safeguarding concerns and attending training as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialist nursing support and advice.
* Take responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager’s absence.
* Supervise and coach colleagues.
* Record and manage time effectively.
* Safeguard residents, recognising signs of abuse, harm or neglect, and report concerns appropriately.
