Role Overview
You will manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision, working closely with senior solicitors and partners on more complex matters. This is a varied role offering hands‑on experience across the full spectrum of private family law, advising and representing clients in relation to:
Responsibilities
* Divorce and separation
* Financial settlements and asset division
* Children matters (private law)
* Nuptial agreements
* Cohabitation disputes
* Attending client meetings, court hearings and conferences
* Drafting legal documents and correspondence
* Engaging in settlement negotiations and mediation where appropriate
* Building strong client relationships through clear, empathetic communication
* Assisting with business development and networking opportunities, beautiful location in Henley‑on‑Thames, Marlow & Beaconsfield, with flexible working considered
* Direct mentoring from experienced family law specialists
* Real involvement in the business and client base from day one
Company Overview
We are a boutique family law firm based in Henley‑on‑Thames, Marlow & Beaconsfield, known for our client‑focused approach and compassionate yet robust legal representation. Our small, dedicated team handles a wide range of family law matters, often with high levels of discretion and sensitivity. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a qualified solicitor with at least 1 year of post‑qualification experience (PQE) in family law to join our friendly and supportive practice.
Qualifications
* Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with at least 1 year PQE in family law
* Sound knowledge of family law and practice
* Strong client care skills and a personable, professional manner
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
* Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities
* Familiarity with case management systems is an advantage
