If you’re the kind of person who likes the idea of working on highly accurate bespoke lens‑producing machines and thrives in a fast‑paced setting, this role could be for you. As a Maintenance Engineer you’ll join the nightshift team at Airways Optical in Southampton.
Responsibilities
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
* Keep process‑critical equipment in top shape.
* Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure smooth operation.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
* Completed an engineering apprenticeship and holds a minimum qualification of ONC, City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
* Confident diagnosing faults across a range of systems.
* Flexible, resilient, and takes pride in doing things to a high standard.
