Temporary Receptionist
Location: Alton, Hampshire
Hours: 08:00 - 16:00 (37.5 hours/week, 30-minute unpaid break)
Pay: £12.50 per hour
TeamJobs is recruiting on behalf of our client for a friendly and organised Receptionist to join their team on a temporary basis, with the potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate. This is a great opportunity to be the first point of contact for visitors while providing essential administrative support across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Reception Duties:
Greet visitors, complete relevant paperwork and ID verification, offer refreshments, and notify staff of arrivals.
Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area.
Handle incoming calls, assist with enquiries, redirect calls, take messages, and follow up as needed.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail and courier deliveries, notifying relevant staff.
Administration Duties:
Check admin/account inbox daily and respond as needed.
Research and price items from suppliers, raising purchase orders once approved.
Support the Finance team with purchase orders, receipts, reporting, and data reconciliation.
Maintain accurate filing systems, both paper and electronic.
Assist various teams with clerical tasks, including printing, photocopying, and filing.
Prepare purchases for site visits, including food and refreshments.
Carry out general administrative tasks to support business needs.
Requirements:
Organised, detail-oriented, and professional.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
Previous experience in reception or administrative support is desirable.
IT literate and comfortable using standard office software.
