Job Description
As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for:
* Manage all vendor correspondence via phone or email
* Prepare and review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
* Prepare, process and send accounts payable cheques
* Identify and implement improvements to the payment process
* Reconcile monthly statements and related transactions
* Assist in month end closing
* Maintain files and documentation in accordance with company policy
* Analyse and resolve payment discrepancies
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:
* Proven working experience in the Accounting & Finance field
* Strong understanding of accounts payable
* Proficiency in MS Office and data entry
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
