Due to retirement we are looking for a receptionist to join us. We are a small and busy independent opticians with a reputation for high quality patient care. The role includes booking and managing appointments, preparing clinic paperwork, making referrals, responding to patient queries by phone, email and in person, ordering contact lenses, triaging patients and welcoming and looking after visitors to the practice.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
* Working in a clinical reception/administrative role, preferably with experience of a patient management system
* Working with the public by phone, email and in person in a clinical or possibly hospitality role
* Working closely with colleagues in a small team
They should have the following skills:
* Working efficiently and accurately using computerised systems, taking notes and filing
* Multitasking
* Fast learner and adaptable to carry out a wide range of administrative tasks
* Friendly, caring and with great communication skills
Hours are 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday), and 2 in 4 half days on Saturday. Hours are 8.45am-5.30pm with an hour for lunch weekdays and 8.45am to 1.00 pm on Saturdays.
The salary is competitive at £13.00 per hour.
