The Radiology Department delivers general X-ray, fluoroscopy, theatre, and mobile imaging, working closely with multidisciplinary teams. Role Overview We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Band 5 General Radiographer to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and dignity. Key Responsibilities Carry out general X-ray, mobile, and theatre imaging in line with IR(ME)R and departmental protocols. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to enhance the patient experience. Collaborate with radiologists, reporting radiographers, and healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate imaging records; participate in audits and quality assurance. Assist in training and supervising student radiographers and assistant practitioners. Adhere to health & safety, infection control, and safeguarding policies. Essential Criteria BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography (or equivalent). HCPC registration (or pending for new graduates). Minimum of 2 years’ proven UK clinical experience as a Radiographer. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills. Team player with flexibility for shift work (weekends/on-call). Desirable Criteria Experience in fluoroscopy, theatre, and mobile imaging. Awareness of developments in radiography practice. Commitment to CPD and further training.
