Head of Financial Planning & Analysis - Banking Sector
We are partnering with a leading banking organisation to appoint a Head of FP&A for its London office. This is a high-impact leadership role offering direct exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to shape the future of the finance function.
The Opportunity
You’ll take ownership of the FP&A function, leading a small but high-performing team while acting as a strategic partner to the CFO, CEO, and Board. This role sits at the heart of decision-making, combining hands-on financial leadership with forward-looking strategic insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver strategic financial analysis to senior leadership
- Oversee monthly and daily reporting across P&L, balance sheet, and KPIs
- Partner with business units to drive financial performance
- Own budgeting and forecasting cycles, identifying risks and opportunities
- Strengthen financial controls, processes, and governance frameworks
- Lead and support the FP&A team
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Strong experience within banking (Treasury / Corporate Banking preferred)
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical capability
- Track record of improving processes and implementing controls
