Responsibilities
* Within their areas of responsibility the primary function of the Shift Leaders is to ensure targets for production output and efficiency are achieved whilst maintaining the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees and the quality requirements of our customers.
* Lead and coach the team to meet deadlines and priorities; supervise associates and set priorities accordingly.
* Identify and resolve day-to-day problems using sound judgment; support the department in achieving quality, volume, and timelines objectives.
* Operate within departmental objectives and priorities to support overall performance targets.
Key Qualifications and Skills
* Good working knowledge/experience of working within a production environment
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Must be Customer and Quality focused; demonstrating ability to adapt and change
* Must have good communication skills and the ability to train others, enabling team members to understand and support company goals
* Must have a flexible attitude and willingness to turn their hand to anything, as duties are variable in a small team
Leadership and Reporting
* 3+ direct reports
* Has formal supervisory responsibilities; sets priorities for and coaches associates to meet deadlines
