Job Description:
As a Bricklaying Apprentice Master at Bloor Homes, you will play a vital role in developing and supporting our Bricklaying Apprentices. Your experience in bricklaying and team leadership will help recruit and mentor young apprentices, ensuring they achieve their qualifications and develop their skills. This role involves coaching, supervising, and managing apprentices on-site, ensuring health & safety compliance, and supporting their progression through NVQ qualifications.
Main Duties:
1. Assist in recruitment and induction of new apprentices.
2. Provide coaching and support to help apprentices complete their programs.
3. Coordinate with NVQ Assessors to gather evidence for qualifications.
4. Provide feedback on apprentices' performance to site management.
5. Manage day-to-day activities of apprentices, ensuring quality and safety.
6. Ensure health & safety policies are followed, including risk assessments.
7. Support support and support the Labourer and team members.
8. Help apprentices achieve NVQ Level II and III.
9. Assist in other site activities as required.
10. Attend necessary meetings and uphold company policies.
11. Perform additional tasks as required.
Essential Skills / Attributes:
1. Experienced bricklayer (time served).
2. Experience managing a team or trainees.
3. Bricklaying apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
4. Full UK Driving Licence.
5. Strong bricklaying skills and knowledge.
6. Understanding of health & safety regulations on construction sites.
7. Patience and ability to motivate learners.
