Site Manager, Construction Contractor, South Lincolnshire
Due to increased demand and company growth, a fantastic role has arisen to join this progressive, long-running construction team.
The role will involve managing and overseeing the day-to-day running of projects from start to completion, ensuring work is completed on time, safely, within budget, and to a high standard. Projects will span various sectors such as commercial, agricultural, local authorities, and education.
The job responsibilities include:
1. Maintaining detailed records using site diary sheets.
2. Checking all deliveries for damage or shortages.
3. Collating delivery and advice notes and returning them to the regional office.
4. Assisting the Contracts Manager in preparing the construction programme and monitoring progress.
5. Attending design coordination and sub-contractor meetings, liaising with the Contracts Manager on progress and invoice sign-off.
6. Setting to work all labour and sub-contractors.
7. Monitoring workmanship quality and addressing non-compliance issues.
8. Working with the administration team and Contracts Managers to call off materials per procurement schedules and the programme.
Health and safety are top priorities. The candidate will be responsible for discharging health and safety obligations on site.
The candidate should understand all aspects of the contracting process, technical building requirements, and be commercially aware. Strong interpersonal skills, team spirit, and excellent communication are essential. Proven experience in a similar role is required.
