This is an exciting time to be joining Sir John Deane's Sixth Form College and the Sir John Brunner Foundation Multi Academy Trust, which collectively educates over 4300 children, and employs over 450 professionals. Each of our academies operates at the heart of their local communities. The Foundation’s central offices are based at Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College campus.
About the Role
As a teacher at our sixth form college, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and challenging lessons that inspire academic excellence and independent thinking, teaching 16–19 year olds in A level Mathematics and A level Statistics. We do not teach GCSE Mathematics. Collaboration with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and tailored support is essential. This role also involves contributing to the wider college community through enrichment activities and academic mentoring.

What we are looking for
Sir John Deane's seeks to appoint an enthusiastic teacher to contribute to the work of this thriving department.
The Mathematics Department is the largest in the College with outstanding outcomes in all three subjects offered: A level Mathematics, A level Further Mathematics and A level Statistics.
We welcome applications from teachers with experience. A Level experience is not an essential requirement; we are seeking to appoint an individual with a strong background in Maths who loves to teach and who has a passion for all aspects of the subject.

In the first instance this is a one-year fixed term contract, although the College is currently seeking to permanently expand the Mathematics Department next academic year due a strong growth of students studying Mathematics.
