Key Responsibilities of the Production Engineer:
* Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
* Measure, cut, and shape sheet metal to precise dimensions using hand tools, power tools, and machines such as shears, brakes, and presses.
* Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components and products according to design specifications.
* Install fabricated products such as ductwork, roofing, siding, and ventilation systems.
* Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
* Conduct repairs or modifications to sheet metal products as needed.
* Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
* Collaborate with team members and contractors to coordinate project tasks effectively.
* Keep accurate records of materials used, hours worked, and tasks completed.
* Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and technologies related to sheet metal work.
Additional Information for the Production Engineer:
* Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or similar role within production.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
* Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
* Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
* Basic math skills for calculations and measurements.
