Principal Recruitment Consultant @ Enso Recruitment
As Management Accountant you’ll take ownership of the company’s financial operations, reporting, and planning. You’ll be a key advisor to senior management, ensuring financial health, compliance, and efficiency while identifying opportunities for growth and cost savings. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong understanding of SME finance, ideally within the IT or service sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all day-to-day financial operations including accounting, budgeting, cash flow, and payroll
* Lead preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts
* Produce accurate financial reports and interpret financial data to support strategic decisions
* Develop and manage budgeting processes, forecasts, and financial planning
* Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and external advisors
* Monitor key financial KPIs and implement cost control measures
* Oversee Accounts Payable and Receivable, ensuring healthy working capital management
* Oversee the Financial Planning Analysis and make recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce cost
* Contribute to business strategy, providing financial insight to drive growth and profitability
* Implement and maintain robust financial controls and systems (experience with financial software like Sage, Xero, or similar desirable)
* Support contract pricing and commercial negotiations with clients/vendors
Key Requirements:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
* 4+ years of experience in a senior finance role, ideally within a similar-sized SME
* Experience working in or with the IT sector or service-based industries preferred
* Strong financial and commercial acumen
* Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a leadership team
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
