A bit about the role As a Personal Shopper, you will be responsible for supporting and developing relationships with Selfridges’ aspirational and entry-tier personal shopping clients, including our VSPs (£10k), all other Unlocked tiers and other newly engaged guests. You will demonstrate good networking and relationship-building skills, with a focus on learning and development to expand your client base through both existing and new customer relationships. You will uphold strong service standards, professionalism, and discretion, delivering elevated styling appointments tailored to each client’s needs. With a growing knowledge across Selfridges’ product categories, you will drive good cross-category and own bought sales while continuing to build your expertise in luxury retail. As a Personal Shopper you will: Nurture and develop relationships to generate new business with a focus on international, high potential and high net worth clients. Recognise potential events either in store or offsite to further our client base and pro-actively approaching individuals and corporations Generate ideas and implement plans to develop business opportunities and drive productivity, sales and profit across own bought and concession businesses Demonstrate a commercial mind set and outlook to stay responsive to customer needs, sharing inspiration in immediate & wider team Monitor customer service satisfaction and spend, suggesting improvements where necessary and keeping us ahead of our competitors Partner with key stakeholders at store events and through other commercial opportunities (CNY, Eid, Christmas, Football pop-ups) Act as an ambassador for Selfridges Personal Shopping both internally and externally by representing our brand in public/store events to promote our products and services Work confidently and collaboratively with various departments, from the wider personal shopping team, various departments and divisions, to Fashion Workroom, you strive to deliver exceptional service and standards Stay ahead of the latest trends by taking every opportunity to expand your product knowledge, and being aware of competitor activity How you’ll do it…you will be: Highly regarded within the field of Personal Shopping, with in-depth knowledge of the customer base, brands, the Services we offer and our clients lifestyles Well-connected with a proven track record Proactive in ceasing opportunities to build customer relationships and actively promoting the Personal shopping Team and its services An expert in luxury lifestyle and can talk confidently within this space An excellent communicator and can influence across all levels, you excel in the relationships you build internally and externally Strong commercial acumen, target and performance driven, can speak confidently to Retail and client KPIS and understands the levers to achieve commercial success A brand ambassador, demonstrating Values and behaviours KPIs Client base – new client acquisition, retention, conversion and upgrade NPS This guide represents a summary of the role, however all team members are expected to be flexible in the work they undertake, which may change from time to time, according to the needs of the business
