Job Title: Mortgage Administrator
Location: Southend on Sea
Salary: £26-£27k + Bonus OTE £30k
Job Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Mortgage Administrator to join our clients growing team. The successful candidate will support the mortgage brokers by ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements. This role is essential in facilitating smooth and timely mortgage applications and approvals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process mortgage applications from initial submission through to completion.
* Liaise with clients, lenders, solicitors, and internal teams to gather and verify required documentation.
* Maintain accurate records and update internal systems with application progress.
* Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and company policies.
* Prepare and issue mortgage offer letters and related documentation.
* Monitor deadlines and follow up on outstanding information.
* Provide administrative support to mortgage advisors and underwriters.
* Handle client queries professionally and efficiently.
* Assist with post-completion tasks such as registration and archiving.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a mortgage administrator
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
* Knowledge of FCA regulations and mortgage products is advantageous.
Desirable Qualifications:
* CeMAP or equivalent qualification (not essential but beneficial).
* Experience working with mortgage brokers or lenders.
