Farm Consultant
What will I be doing?
Based out of our client's Norwich office, your focus areas will include:
1. Overseeing and managing Contract Farming Agreements
2. Providing advice on farm business structures
3. Implementing and managing Agri-environment schemes
4. Sourcing and applying for grant funding
5. Developing business plans
6. Analysing accounts and compiling budgets and cashflows
7. Supporting business development initiatives and tenders, targeting and winning new business, and agreeing on the scope of instructions and fees as appropriate
8. Participating in business development opportunities at office, regional, and UK level
What do I need?
The ideal candidate will have:
9. Good working knowledge of and previous experince advising farm business operations in the UK
10. Understanding of banking and finance structures
11. A network of professional contacts and potential clients
12. Basic practical UK farm management skills
13. Confidence in presenting and public speaking
14. Self-motivation and a goal-driven attitude, with the ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
15. Clear and logical working style, with good organisational skills and attention to detail
16. Strong problem-solving skills
17. Team player who builds relationships and consults with others, quickly establishing trust and credibility
18. Diplomatic and confident with a positive outlook
19. Ability to deliver high performance in terms of client service and compliance
20. Driver's licence and own car (essential)
21. Qualifications such as BASIS, FACTS, IAGRM, BIAC, FAAV, or CEnv would be advantageous but not essential.

Our client is a leading name in the agricultural consultancy sector. Their Norwich team is comprised of two fee-earning staff but is part of a national network of 40 farm consultants. The team provides advice to predominantly arable businesses within East Anglia. The wider division operates across the whole of the UK, with a network of 37 offices from Scotland to the South-West.
