Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Strong proficiency in managing PostgreSQL databases, particularly on AWS RDS (primary focus).
* Hands‑on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
* Proficiency with GitLab for both CI/CD pipelines and version control/versioning.
* Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Kiro, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.
* Strong scripting skills in Shell and Python (required).
* Advanced SQL experience and familiarity with query optimisation.
* Ability to promptly investigate and resolve database performance issues.
* Experience with version control workflows, branching strategies, and GitLab best practices.
* Competence in planning and undertaking database tasks such as upgrades, migrations.
* Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Additional Skills (Added Advantage)
* Experience with MySQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
* Experience with AWS ECS for containerised applications.
* Familiarity with Rundeck or similar automation tools.

Salary
