Overview
Our Support Officers play a critical role, providing excellent customer service and administrative support to court users, judiciary and management. Working as part of a team, you will contribute to the overall operational, performance and service standard targets across your area of work and progress cases through the court/tribunal system.
Responsibilities
* Prepare papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings and meetings, including processing and handling sensitive information.
* Create and update records digitally, interpreting information accurately required on a court file.
* Communicate with the public, judiciary, other court and tribunal users and representatives of other agencies and organisations.
* Act as the first point of contact for all court users, meeting members of the public, vulnerable witnesses and their legal representatives.
* Prepare court and hearing rooms and ensure the smooth operation of court days.
Qualifications and Skills
* Customer service skills and ability to work in a service‑led, customer‑facing environment.
* Digital and administrative proficiency with excellent attention to detail.
* Strong communication and organisational skills, both verbal and written.
* Resilience and empathy in handling sensitive information and situations.
* Team player able to work collaboratively and flexibly to deliver business objectives.
Working Arrangements
* Standard full‑time hours: 37 hours per week.
* Hybrid working is possible with a minimum of 60% office time, subject to local capacity, and should be agreed with the successful candidate.
