We are currently looking for exceptional people to join our team and have a great opportunity for a Maintenance Assistant.
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all areas of the hotel, ensuring that company and legal policies are adhered to.
The ideal candidate will work well under pressure with excellent attention to detail. You should have a passion for hospitality and providing good customer service. Experience working in a similar position would be advantageous but not essential.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
* Prioritize daily tasks based on the hotel’s requirements.
* Be familiar with the layout and plan of the hotel and the operation of all equipment.
* Complete all painting jobs to company standards.
* Ensure all areas are left clean and tidy after completion.
* Handle electrical, plumbing, heating, and other maintenance issues daily.
* Coordinate and supervise outside contractors as needed.
* Manage servicing, product guarantees, and warranty issues.
* Respond to maintenance call-outs when required.
* Carry out preventative maintenance according to the schedule.
* Observe all health and safety regulations and ensure compliance.
* Conduct checks of emergency procedures and equipment.
Requirements of the Role
* Significant maintenance experience within a hotel or accommodation setting.
* Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends if necessary.
* Organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Self-motivated with the ability to manage your workload independently or within a small team.
* Responsible and trustworthy, with access to all guest areas and ensuring a safe environment for guests and colleagues.
