Geotechnical Engineer | Belfast
Vickerstock is delighted to be working with a young, ambitious design consultancy to support in the recruitment of a Geotechnical Engineer. Founded in 2021 as a specialist water & infrastructure business, this company has experienced rapid, sustainable growth, expanding their service offerings to include Structural Engineering (both buildings and heavy civils) and Geotechnical Engineering through the appointments of industry experts.
Your new role as a Geotechnical Engineer
You will work alongside the newly appointed Associate Director for Geotechnical Engineering, providing expert support on a range of built environment projects including water & wastewater, civil infrastructure, and temporary works schemes. You will have the opportunity to work on various ground engineering schemes such as slope stability analysis, deep basements, load-bearing piles, retaining walls, and embankment design.
What you will need to succeed as a Geotechnical Engineer
1. A degree in Civil Engineering
2. A minimum of 1-year postgraduate experience working within the design of ground engineering projects, with either a consultancy or piling contractor
3. Commitment to career development and pursuing CEng status with the ICE or a similar organization
