Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Interim Head of Supply Chain on a temporary basis for 4 months.
The role:
1. Lead, develop, and manage supply teams, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
2. Analyse procurement and supply chain data to identify trends, support service development, and guide future procurement activity, including enhancing contract and catalogue coverage.
3. Champion procurement best practices across the organisation, promoting the strategic value of procurement and raising its profile as a key business function.
4. Provide expert advice on procurement logistics, compliance, and governance; regularly review and update internal policies to ensure alignment with current legislation and organisational standards
5. Prepare and present tailored supply chain reports for internal leadership groups and external stakeholders, supporting strategic decision-making and operational oversight.
The person:
6. Senior leadership experience in Supply Chain & Logistics
7. Solid understanding of the full life cycle of supply chains and materials management
8. Previous experience managing staff as well as working in a fast-paced environment
9. Knowledge and understanding of electronic procurement systems and development
