Do you have a strong passion for Autism? Are you a proactive individual keen to identify new opportunities to support? Join a fast growing charity that specialises in Autism support. The charity delivers employment and in-work support to individuals with Autism to help them work in the environment or secure employment.
Responsibilities
* Work 4 days a week with 18-24 year olds, supporting them into employment. Many have not previously worked, so assist with creating CVs and building confidence.
* One day per week spent carrying out in-work support.
* Advocate for individuals with low and high support needs in roles such as scientists, cyber security experts, and more.
* Set action plans for individuals in their job roles, encourage engagement, and help them settle in.
* Support employability skills and preparation towards voluntary work and/or paid employment.
* Increase confidence and communication skills to support progression.
* Provide 5-6 hours of contact time daily with participants.
* Work closely with employers to educate on Autism and implement reasonable adjustments.
* Liaise with multiple agencies to best support participants in their roles.
Qualifications
* To apply, you must have work or lived experience with Autism.
* Alternatively, experience working with people with support needs (e.g., tutor, teacher, learning support assistant, teaching assistant).
* You might be a Psychology graduate with relatable experience, or have worked as a support worker, hostel worker, careers advisor, or employment advisor.
