Job Summary
Location Oakhaven Hospice
Contract 8 PA Consultant Post. Expected to be a 1 in 4 second on-call rota with a 6% availability supplement.
Salary £87,780pa - £116,382pa according to level of experience.

Key Responsibilities
* Delivering high-quality clinical care across hospice settings, including the inpatient unit, community, and hospital
* Providing specialist advice and support to GPs, families, and clinical colleagues
* Contributing to education, research, and leadership within the service
* Developing areas of specialist interest to enhance and innovate palliative care provision
About You
Demonstrate clinical excellence with strong communication, organisational, and teaching skills.
Commitment to the principles of Clinical Governance.
Applicants must hold (or be within 6 months of achieving) their CCT in Palliative Medicine at the time of interview.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
* Evidence of wide experience and a high level of competence in Specialist Palliative Care.
* Ability to take independent responsibility for the clinical care of patients.
* A thorough understanding of all elements of and a commitment to the principles of clinical governance.
* Participation in Audit and quality improvement projects relevant to the speciality.
* Leadership skills and the ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent teaching skills with evidence of commitment to multidisciplinary education.
* Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (within 6 months of interview), CESR, or equivalent.
Desirable:
* Undertook and participated in research projects.
* Training in management skills.
* Attendance at communication workshops/courses.
* Appropriate higher degree MD, PhD or equivalent.
