The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Woodsperson to join our small, friendly, and established team, at a very exciting time in the history of woodland management of the Estate. The work is varied and covers all aspects of woodland management, in predominantly broadleaf woodland.
Duties Include
* Maintenance and establishment of woodland and its associated habitats.
* Coppicing, thinning and small-scale harvesting.
* Landscape maintenance, hedgerow management and specimen tree management.
About You
You will need:
* Tree felling experience.
* A chainsaw qualification.
* Good health & safety awareness.
* A passion for the outdoors and working in this environment.
* Mechanical aptitude.
* The ability to learn and develop new skills and work within a team.
* A full clean driving licence and own transport, as we are in a rural location, with no public transport links.
