Overview
We are seeking a QUALIFIED & detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team.
Experience with Hospitality accounts is ideal.
Experience and knowledge of Xero is essential.
You will be required to organise and keep on top of the weekly bookkeeping of 3 small sister businesses that are all local to Ipswich and are all in the hospitality sector.
This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely reporting of financial information
* Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices and payments
* Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of all transactions
* Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review
* Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
* Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards
* Collaborate with external auditors during audits as needed
* Provide support in the preparation of tax returns and other financial documentation
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
* Proficiency in accounting with Xero
* Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
