General Ledger Supervisor/Bookkeeper | Up to £45k | Stockport
Neos Global Search is delighted to bring to market a unique opportunity for a high-calibre, experienced General Ledger or Bookkeeping professional to partner closely with company owners to drive the performance of their accounting function.
Working as a de facto No.1 in Accounts, the successful individual will bring a wealth of transactional accounting, bookkeeping and general ledger experience to lead on creating a high-performing function capable of supporting business growth.
Bookkeeping and Financial Management
* Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including day-to-day bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and ledger management
* Prepare and review financial statements
* Process and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly
* Prepare and submit VAT & CIS returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
* Ensure that all bookkeeping practices comply with relevant legal requirements and industry standards
Leadership and advisory
* Partner closely with the owners to drive insight and business decision making through robust bookkeeping and accounting policy
Technology and Systems Management
* Identify opportunities to improve processes through the use of technology
* Recommend and assist in the implementation of new software and tools within the bookkeeping team as the need requires
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Transactional Finance Manager or General Ledger Accountant
* Strong knowledge of bookkeeping practices, including VAT, payroll, and financial reporting
* Proficiency in Sage and Xero
