Bookkeeper Salary: £28,000 per annum Hours: Mon-Fri | 9am – 5pm. The Role We are recruiting for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a small, friendly Accountancy practice in the Northwest. This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident managing day-to-day transactional finance, ensuring accuracy and compliance across the ledgers. Key Responsibilities: * Processing purchase and sales invoices * Maintaining accurate ledgers * Preparing and submitting VAT returns * Bank reconciliations * Assisting with month-end processes * Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties Essential Requirements: * Strong working knowledge of Xero and Sage (essential) * Proven experience filing VAT returns independently * Experience entering and managing purchase and sales invoices * AAT Level 3 or Level 4 qualified * Strong attention to detail and organisational skills * Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team * Reliable, methodical and accurate * Comfortable managing their own workload * Good communicator with a proactive approach This is a great opportunity for a capable Bookkeeper looking to join a stable team environment with clear responsibilities and autonomy.
