Main duties of the job
* Work alongside a team of highly skilled professionals, collaborating to deliver exceptional patient care
* Proactive and flexible; thrive in a dynamic environment across multiple sites including Kingston Hospital, Teddington Memorial Hospital, Raynes Park Health Centre, and Surbiton Health Centre
* Provide a wide range of examinations: abdominal, gynae, MSK, vascular, paediatric, small parts, and obstetrics, allowing professional growth
* Eligibility for Band 8a: advanced clinical practitioner with more than three years of post‑qualification independent scanning experience, demonstrating high autonomy and clinical decision‑making, managing complex caseloads and performing a variety of scans proficiently
* Managerial or leadership experience is ideal
* Essential need for multi‑skilled sonographers able to scan paediatrics, MSK, and vascular ultrasounds

Person Specification
Education/Qualification
* Degree level qualification or equivalent
* Postgraduate specialist diploma in medical ultrasound
* HCPC or other appropriate professional registration
Experience
* CPD/Audit/QA experience
* Ultrasound training or mentoring experience
* 3 years post‑graduate experience
Knowledge
* Sound knowledge of clinical ultrasound
* Advanced ultrasound skill mix
Skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Good time management and prioritisation skills
