English Teacher (QTS) Maternity Cover – Andover
Prospero Teaching is seeking a committed and enthusiastic English Teacher (QTS) to join a supportive and well‑established secondary school in Andover on a full‑time maternity cover basis from after April 2026.

Responsibilities
* Teach English Language and English Literature across KS3 and KS4.
* Deliver lessons following the established curriculum and planning frameworks.
* Take on full teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking, and assessment.
* Support pupils of varying abilities and contribute to raising attainment.
* Attend department meetings and collaborate on resources and assessments.
* Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
Qualifications & Experience
* Fully qualified English Teacher with QTS/QTLS.
* Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4.
* Experience delivering GCSE English (any exam board).
* Proactive, reliable, and organised classroom practitioner.
* Enjoys working in a collaborative, supportive team.
* Teacher seeking a maternity role starting after April.
Contract Details
* Position: English Teacher – Maternity Cover.
* Location: Andover.
* Start: After April 2026.
* Salary: £32,916‑£51,047 per annum.
* Contract type: Full‑time Maternity Cover.
* Key Stages: KS3‑KS4.
Experience, Training & Safeguarding
* QTS/QTLS essential.
* Experience teaching English at secondary level.
* Safeguarding training required (can be provided).
Eligibility
* Right to work in the UK.
* Enhanced DBS (update service) or willingness to apply.
* Two recent teaching references.
