Bridgewater Manor, a purpose-built care home in Worsley Village, Salford, registered for 71 residents with various care needs including residential and nursing. Rated GOOD by CQC, the home emphasizes safety, comfort, and high-quality care, investing in technology and daily wellbeing activities. We employ a permanent team to ensure continuity of care, paying at least the national minimum wage.
We are seeking a kind, enthusiastic, and fun Wellbeing Assistant to join our team. The role involves creating a caring and inclusive culture around therapeutic activities, supporting the Wellbeing Coordinator, and delivering a comprehensive wellbeing programme. The position offers a 24-hour contract with an hourly rate of £12.21, with shifts from 10:00 to 16:00 and some weekend work, requiring flexibility.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to weekly activity programmes to stimulate residents' physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
2. Develop innovative programmes enabling residents to achieve their capabilities.
3. Motivate and support staff to incorporate wellbeing activities into their roles.
4. Familiarize with residents' life stories and wellbeing plans, contributing to their review.
5. Ensure risk assessments are up-to-date for all activities, in liaison with the Wellbeing Coordinator.
6. Understand the needs of residents with various conditions.
7. Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults in contact with the post holder.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Experience working with older people.
2. Experience delivering activity programmes.
3. Ability to assess, plan, and evaluate activity needs.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to prioritize and handle emergencies.
7. Creativity, enthusiasm, and forward planning skills.
