Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help deliver our regulatory responsibilities as the Enforcement Authority for the Reservoirs Act 1975 in England. The Reservoirs Act helps to ensure the safe operation and management of dams. You will be an officer in the Compliance and Monitoring team, part of the Reservoir Regulation team, responsible for monitoring compliance with the Reservoirs Act 1975 for the 2140 reservoirs in England.
Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day correspondence
* Record incoming documentation on our database to ensure records are accurate and up to date
* Encourage compliance when reports or certificates are not received as expected
* Be the first point of contact for reservoir owners and panel engineers
* Provide information and advice on the requirements of the Act
* Travel as required; some travel and overnight stays may be necessary

* Department: Environmental Assessment and Reservoir Regulation, part of the Flood & Coastal Risk Management Directorate
* Team: Reservoir Regulation, nationally dispersed with 25+ members
* Location: National role; based at any Environment Agency office
* Working pattern: Part-time job share, 22.2 hours per week
