About the Role
Teaching Personnel are looking for confident, adaptable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across the Walsall and Wolverhampton area. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in education and classroom experience before pursuing a teaching qualification, or for experienced cover staff seeking flexible work.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring that students remain on task and engaged in their learning. You’ll manage classroom behaviour, provide support where needed and maintain a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
Supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring students complete the work set.
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Support students with their learning, encouraging participation and focus.
Deliver lessons across a range of subjects.
Build positive relationships with students and staff.
Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.
Requirements:
Experience working with young people (ideally within a school setting).
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Confidence to supervise classes across different subjects.
A positive, professional attitude and flexible approach to work.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
Safeguarding training (can be provided by Teaching Personnel).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
