At DXC, one of our platinum accounts has openings for Linux System Administrators at varying skill levels. The successful candidate will work within multiple teams and will be innovative and analytical with a good eye for detail. Your role will include implementing standards, policies, and procedures for continual service improvement.
Role responsibilities:
1. Provide first and second level technical support on incidents and problems.
2. Monitor overall system performance and ensure smooth system functionality.
3. Create, maintain, and utilize documentation.
4. Assist in building compliance with processes and policies.
What you will bring to the team:
1. Excellent organization and time management skills.
2. Experience working with ITIL best practices.
3. A desire to improve processes and identify root causes of problems.
4. Willingness to share knowledge and learn from others.
5. A proactive approach to identifying risks and problems.
Desirable Skills and Technologies:
1. Exposure to automation software such as Ansible or Puppet.
2. Knowledge of Red Hat products, including Satellite 6, OpenShift 3/4, RHEL/CentOS 6/7/8, and RHEL Atomic/CoreOS.
3. Scripting skills with Bash, Python, and/or Git.
4. Experience with AWS.
5. Basic understanding of CLI.
