Role: Class 1 Driver
Location: South Kirkby, WF9 3FD
Salary: £35242.00 plus £50 weekly bonus
Hours a week: 45 hours a week (Mon - Fri, 06.00 - 16.00)
Contract type: Permanent, full time
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Secure Collection Operative (Class 1 Driver) to join our team. This role involves more than just driving; it includes attending client sites, collecting confidential paper documents, and ensuring their secure transport and destruction.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Check the vehicle at the start of the shift, completing the defect sheet and reporting any defects
* Drive vehicles you are licensed to drive and comply with all Driver Regulations, including hours
* Use tachographs correctly at all times
* Ensure all appropriate and required equipment to complete your daily duties is loaded onto the vehicle before leaving the depot
* Review and understand all job sheets before leaving the depot
* Use the PDA correctly to record daily collection activities and customer information
* Complete all jobs on time and correctly, either solo or with a driver’s assistant
* Ensure all paperwork is completed for each job, with items collected recorded and signed for by the client, with a copy handed in at the end of the shift
* Ensure the material is safe and secure at all times
About you:
* Full UK Class 1 Driving Licence
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to apply the principles of customer care
* Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all timesCapable of handling tasks involving lifting and transporting materials
