Job Description
United Living Infrastructure are currently looking for a SHEQ Advisor to provide invaluable health and safety support and advice to teams undertaking works on behalf of Yorkshire Water.
Your role as SHEQ Advisor will involve:
* Undertaking periodic risk assessments and implementing more robust procedures when necessary
* Providing specialist SHEQ advice to colleagues / subcontractors
* Ensuring contracts are compliant and that positive behaviours are embedded in the day to day works of our operational teams
Interpersonal, Supervisory or Management:
* Good inter-personal skills with proven skills in coaching and motivating people
* Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all organisational levels (including Senior Managers)
* Ability to recommend preventative action, develop new initiatives and co-ordinate or ensure their implementation
* Ability to develop & deliver training/briefing material in an innovative, enjoyable but effective way
* Demonstrates determination to achieve business goals despite opposition and displays personal commitment
Technical or Specialist
* Experienced in auditing and root cause analysis techniques
* Ability to identify and assess patterns of resistance and effective problem-solving skills
* A good understanding of CDM Regulations, specifically in relation to Client, Principal Designer & Principal Contractor role.
Qualifications
Essential (at appointment):
* NEBOSH Certificate and considerable relevant construction SHE water industry experience.
* Current full UK driving license
