We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive secondary school in Croydon. This is a vital pastoral role, where you will work closely with students who require behavioural, emotional or social support to engage positively in school life.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students in and out of lessons to help manage their behaviour and improve engagement
* Build positive, trusting relationships with students, acting as a role model and mentor
* Work with teaching and pastoral staff to implement behaviour strategies and support plans
* Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of interventions
* Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural or emotional needs
* A calm, consistent, and firm approach with excellent communication skills
* A genuine passion for improving outcomes for students
* The ability to de-escalate challenging situations and promote positive behaviour
* Experience in a school or youth work setting (preferred)
