Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide high-quality care and support to individuals in residential homes or within the community. The role involves assisting service users with daily living activities while promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
Responsibilities
* Provide personal care support (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
* Assist with mobility and safe transfers.
* Support with meal preparation and feeding if required.
* Administer or prompt medication as per care plans.
* Maintain accurate care records and reports.
* Offer emotional support and companionship.
* Assist with light household duties (for home care roles).
* Monitor and report changes in health or behaviour.
* Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and infection control procedures.
* Work as part of a team with healthcare professionals and families.
What You Should Do (As a Care Worker)
* Treat all service users with respect, dignity, and patience.
* Follow the individual care plan for each person.
* Maintain confidentiality at all times.
* Communicate clearly with clients, families, and team members.
* Complete required training and professional development.
* Adhere to guidelines set by the Northern Ireland Social Care Council.
* Follow workplace policies under UK regulations in the United Kingdom.
