Salary: £95–£120 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Reception Class Teaching Assistant to join a warm, supportive Early Years setting. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young learners as they take their first steps in education, working within a nurturing and engaging environment.
About the Role
As a Reception Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting individuals and small groups with daily learning activities
Helping to maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Supporting routines, transitions, and social development
Assisting children with additional needs, including SEN
Leading a Read Write Inc. phonics group and supporting early reading progression
This role is ideal for someone passionate about Early Years education and committed to helping young children thrive.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A Level 3 CACHE Diploma or an equivalent Early Years/Childcare qualification
Experience working within an EYFS setting
A solid understanding of early childhood development
Experience with (or willingness to learn) the Read Write Inc. phonics programme
The ability to support children with a variety of needs
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
A caring, patient, and adaptable approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
