About the Role:
As a Geography Teacher, you will lead engaging lessons that cover a range of geographical themes, including physical processes, human development, sustainability, and global challenges. You will help students develop a sense of place, environmental awareness, and geographical skills that support critical thinking and informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum.
* Foster geographical thinking through fieldwork, case studies, and enquiry-based learning.
* Monitor student progress, set ambitious targets, and provide constructive feedback.
* Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental resources.
* Create a positive learning environment that promotes academic and personal growth.
* Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
* Engage in continuous professional development and departmental collaboration.
Job Requirements:
* Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Degree in Geography or a closely related field.
* Experience teaching Geography in a
* school setting.
* Sound knowledge of the national curriculum for Geography, including recent developments.
* A strong classroom presence and a passion for geography education.
* Commitment to inclusive teaching practices and high student achievement.
* Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
