Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar/Battery EV Charging Installer to join our growing renewable energy team operating throughout North Wales. You will be responsible for the installation, testing, and commissioning of domestic and commercial solar PV systems, battery storage units, and EV charging points.
You will play a key role in supporting the transition to clean energy by delivering high-quality installations with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
* Install, test, and commission solar PV systems, battery storage systems (e.g., Tesla Powerwall, GivEnergy), and EV charge points (e.g., Zappi, ICS).
* Perform fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs as needed.
* Ensure installations comply with current electrical regulations (BS7671) and MCS standards.
* Complete relevant paperwork and system documentation, including commissioning certificates and handover packs.
* Liaise with customers onsite and provide basic user training and technical explanations.
* Coordinate with the office team regarding job scheduling and procurement.
* Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle to a high standard.
Requirements
* Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
* Full UK driving licence.
* Experience with solar PV, battery storage, or EV charger installations.
* Strong understanding of domestic and commercial electrical systems.
* Good communication skills and customer service focus.
