ABOUT TMS
Founded in 2019 and situated in Margate’s former Woolworths building, The Margate School of Art provides arts education for all audiences: workshops and short courses, year-long programmes and a masters in fine art. We are guided by the principles of ‘Art, Society, Nature’, committed to collaboration, knowledge‑sharing and creativity which is sustainable and socially engaged.
Upstairs, we manage over 30 artists’ studios, with studio‑holders working across fine art, design, film and more. Our gallery exhibitions show work by local artists and community groups as well as nationally and internationally recognised artists and designers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Margate School of Art is seeking a financial administrator to work on‑site for one to two days per week on a self‑employed basis.
ABOUT YOU
You will be proactive with an excellent knowledge of Xero and Hubdoc. You will be dealing with all aspects of bookkeeping and accounts, including the following:
* Sales invoicing
* Purchase invoices
* Producing reports such as cash flow
* Payments
* Producing and maintaining budgets
* Liaison with banks and accountants
* Credit control
* Bank reconciliation
* Year End Accounts
* HMRC
You will also have knowledge of working with Charity finances, Gift Aid and producing the Annual Return.
