About the Role This role involves teaching Hairdressing and Barbering courses at Levels 1, 2, and 3 to a wide range of learners, including 16-18 year olds, adult learners, and apprentices. You will be responsible not only for delivering high-quality teaching and assessment but also for managing one or more course programmes. This includes overseeing course reviews, quality assurance, student recruitment, attendance, retention, and achievement targets. You will play a key part in supporting learners' personal development through pastoral care and acting as a personal tutor. The role demands a proactive approach to continuous improvement, ensuring that all learners achieve the highest standards possible in their education and training. About You You hold, or are willing to achieve, a recognised teacher training qualification such as a PGCE or DTLLS, along with GCSEs (grade C or above) or equivalent qualifications in Maths and English. You possess or are working towards a Level 3 Assessor qualification and a Level 4 Verifier qualification. You have at least an NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing & Barbering, with a recognised industry expert training in the vocational area and ideally hold an NVQ Level 3 in Hairdressing & Barbering. You bring proven teaching experience within the Further Education sector, specialising in Hairdressing and Barbering, and demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high-quality vocational education and assessment.
