Senior Project Manager (Ecology)
Location: Perth, Scotland (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum

About the Role
As Senior Ecology Project Manager, you’ll oversee the delivery of ecology projects across diverse sectors. You’ll manage budgets, timelines, and multi‑disciplinary teams, working closely with ecologists, technical specialists, and clients to achieve high‑quality, environmentally responsible outcomes. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who thrives on collaboration, problem‑solving, and seeing projects through from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage complex ecology projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to a high standard
* Prepare fee proposals and quotations for new opportunities
* Coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams and manage subcontractors
* Act as the main client contact, providing updates and ensuring project alignment
* Track budgets and timelines effectively
* Integrate ecological expertise into planning and reporting
* Mentor junior colleagues and support improvements to internal processes
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
* 5+ years’ experience in environmental or planning consultancy
* Degree or master’s in ecology, environmental science, or related discipline
* Strong track record in project delivery, budget management, and client engagement
* Proven ability to prepare accurate fee proposals
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
* Experience with project management software (e.g., WFM)
* APM membership or recognised project management qualification
* Experience using ArcGIS
* Background in biodiversity, renewables, or regulatory compliance projects
