Senior Project Manager – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract – Glasgow (3-days a week in the office)
We're looking for a
highly experienced Senior Project Manager
to lead a strategic
acquisition programme
within the Financial Services sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a complex, high-impact programme spanning technical integration, legal compliance, and operational readiness.
What you'll be doing
* Leading the
end-to-end delivery
of the acquisition programme, managing scope, timelines, budgets, and risks.
* Coordinating
cross-functional teams
across IT, Legal, Compliance, Operations, HR, and Finance.
* Developing integrated project plans, RAID logs, and
executive-level reporting
.
* Driving
system, platform, and data integration
between entities.
* Overseeing legal and regulatory workstreams (due diligence, contract novation, FCA compliance).
* Ensuring operational readiness through process alignment, training, comms, and change management.
* Managing stakeholder engagement at
all levels, up to C-suite
.
* Facilitating governance forums, steering committees, and key decision-making processes.
* Identifying and mitigating risks to ensure
business continuity
during transition.
What we're looking for
* Proven track record in
large-scale acquisition or transformation programmes
within Financial Services.
* Strong knowledge of
financial regulations, legal frameworks, and operational processes
.
* Expertise in managing
multi-workstream programmes
with complex interdependencies.
* Excellent
leadership, communication, and stakeholder management
skills.
* Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, Confluence) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
* Certifications such as
PRINCE2, PMP, or MSP
are highly desirable.
Location:
Glasgow / Hybrid working but 3-days in the office required a week due to the nature of the work
Contract:
12 months (Fixed Term)
