Our client is seeking a talented Principal Bridge Engineer to join their team in Leeds. This permanent role offers flexible working arrangements, with a minimum of three days required in the office each week.

Key Responsibilities:
* Acting as Lead Design Engineer for bridge and ancillary civil structures projects
* Undertaking and checking the delivery of design solutions and associated outputs
* Coordinating projects with other disciplines
* Providing technical guidance, support, and training to colleagues
* Supporting the Project Manager to clarify project briefs and agree deliverables
* Managing internal project start-up meetings
* Undertaking detailed design and checking outputs, such as calculations, drawings, and reports
* Assessing, documenting, and communicating design changes
* Reviewing projects upon completion and recommending improvements
Job Requirements:
* A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
* Experience in structures design, particularly bridges and ancillary civil structures projects
* Chartered Membership of the ICE or IStructE
* Proficiency with design to Eurocodes and DMRB
* Experienced in mentoring graduate engineers
* Proficient with structural design and analysis software such as Autodesk Structural Bridge Design and LUSAS
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* A full UK driving licence
